Advantages for Parents
Behavior-onics is designed to enhance your relationship with your child and to better prepare them for school and life. One of the essential elements of Behavior-onics is it's basis in authoritative discipline style. Recent studies have shown that children who grow up in a predominately authoritative discipline environment have a greater chance of scoring higher on achievement tests, have better vocabulary skills, and have fewer disciplinary problems.

Definition of Authoritative Parenting:
  • Parents seek compliance based on understanding of rules.
  • Verbal with responsive dialogue.
  • Generally explain rules so children will understand.

Authoritative parenting techniques supports high academic achievement in students.
  • Increased vocabulary
  • Opportunities to engage in expressive language.
  • Children are comfortable with expressive language
  • Higher confidence level
  • Fosters logical thought, elaboration of concept, and higher level thinking skills.
  • Effective teaching strategies require engagement of expressive language and logical thinking of students.
The three components of Behavior-onics work together to make the process of establishing a consistent behavioral management program at home.

We Track Together Board
The board is normally placed on the refrigerator door and is used as a visual source for documenting behavior, setting expectations, and listing potential rewards. Children love to have their successes shown and celebrated; the board makes this easy. It also helps you keep track of behavior and if your child exhibits behavior that is not positive you now have a tool to help correct the behavior.

We Play Together Booklet
The booklet has over 100 activities that you and your child can pick from to use as rewards for good behavior. It's fun for both your child and you to plan an activity and work to attain it. The activities are important and support the We Track Together Board by helping you think of new things you want to do together.

We Talk Together Calendar
Often times it's hard to think of new things to say or talk about with your child. The calendar is simply a way to remind you of things you already want to remind your child of but may forget to. Each night before bed, in the car ride to school, when you get home from work; any of these is a good time to make a point to reinforce your love for your child. These daily talks will expose your child to more words which in turn helps their vocabulary and most importantly helps to strengthen the bond between the two of you.
